Falby Shines in Gators Exhibition Against Lions

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida softball team downed Saint Leo 13-1 in a 10-inning exhibition Wednesday afternoon at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
The Gators turned in 16 hits and were led by freshman Kendra Falby's outstanding 5-for-7 performance at the plate. Falby, from the leadoff spot in the batting order, also registered a double, a triple and was 3-for-4 on stolen base attempts in the contest.
Skylar Wallace continued to shine going 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, a pair of walks and going 2-for-2 on her stolen base attempts. Florida as a team was 8-for-9 on the evening in stolen base attempts.
In the circle, freshman Lexie Delbrey received the start and tossed 2.2 innings and struck out five batters, while Elizabeth Hightower garnered the most innings with 3.0 and also struck out five.
Florida continues fall exhibition action Wednesday, Nov. 10, against USF at 6 p.m. and is scheduled to being its Orange & Blue series Friday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m.
