Zachary Carter was recognized among the conference for his dedicated community service efforts.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Redshirt Senior Zachary Carter was named to the 2021 SEC Football Community Service Team, the Southeastern Conference announced Wednesday.
A native of Tampa, Fla., Carter has volunteered for more than 30 hours of community service, including stints with the Boys and Girls Club, UF Women's Clinic, Gridiron Challenge, Brain Breaks, Gators Mentor, JJ Finley Elementary School, Takeover Terwilliger Elementary School, Gators Tracks Delivery, Baby Gators, Friday Night Lights Football Camp and PK Yonge Virtual Franchise.
Recently, he accepted his invitation to the 2022 Reese's Senior Bowl which will take place on Feb. 5, 2022 at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala. The game annually features the country's best senior collegiate football players and top NFL prospects on teams representing the two teams that will be coached by the entire coaching staffs of the Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins this year.
The SEC names a Community Service Team for each of its 21-league sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.
