Carter's Corner: Napier Delivers, Jones Plans Exit, More Gators Tidbits

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A lot happened on Wednesday.
The Gators signed nine players, including a pair of top-100 prospects, on the first Early National Signing Day with head coach Billy Napier at the helm. I'll have more on that later, but for now, I have included some national reaction on Florida's NSD performance.
Meanwhile, the Gators hired a new receivers coach in Keary Colbert from Southern Cal. And last but not least, quarterback Emory Jones confirmed he intends to enter the transfer portal after next week's Gasparilla Bowl.
Oh, and in the middle of the night, former Gators coach Urban Meyer got the ax from the Jacksonville Jaguars just 13 games into his NFL coaching career.
