
Katie Mack Has The Top Time In The 50-Free Heading Into The Finals

Four Gators make the A-final later tonight
ATHENS, Ga. – Tylor Mathieu, Elise Bauer, Vanessa Pearl, and Katie Mack kept the momentum going from the first day of the SEC Championships as they all qualified for the A-final in their respective events.
In the 500-free prelims Mathieu and Bauer led the Gators and both qualified for the A-final, Amanda Ray and Taylor Ault qualified for the B-final and Lain Shahboz and Nikki Miller both qualified for the C-final.
Vanessa Pearl came out fast in the 200IM with a time of 1:55.40 earning a spot in the A-final. Kathleen Golding finished 11th in the prelims with a time of 1:57.36, picking up a slot in the B-final.
In the 50-free Katie Mack got the top time in the prelims with a time of 21.82, which is the third fastest time in the Nation right now, and qualifies for the A-final. Talia Bates and Gabby Hillis both had times that were able to earn them both a sport in the B-final.

On the diving side, the finals for the women's 3-meter spring board will start at 7 p.m. followed by the men's 1-meter springboard final.
