Gators Vying for Title After Second Round

The Florida women’s golf team sits in a tie for fifth heading into the final round of play.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida women's golf team is tied for fifth at the conclusion of play in the second round of the Gators Invitational presented by VyStar Credit Union.
Annabell Fuller remains in the top-5 individually at the conclusion of the second round at Mark Bostick Golf Course, sitting in a tie for fourth with a score of 1-under par overall. The sophomore joins only six others boasting under par scores heading into the final day of competition. She'll head out on the course tomorrow looking to top her finish from last year when she tied for third individually.
Marina Escobar and Jenny Kim follow Fuller on the leaderboard with 6-over par overall scores and both are tied for 22nd. Kim was the low shooter for the Gators in the second round, finishing 1-over par on the day.
Addie Baggarly and Maisie Filler rounded out the Florida lineup.
Clara Manzalini anchored the individual competitors for the second day in a row after posting back-to-back scores of 72 over two rounds for a 4-over par 144. She sits in a tie for 17th place.
In her Gators Invitational debut, Sara Ericsson is one stroke behind Manzalini. The freshman shot 2-over par in the second round and is tied for 20th.
Lauren Waidner bounced back with force on the second day of play and recorded a 1-over par 71, five shots better than her previous round.
As a team, the Gators sit six strokes behind tournament-leading Ole Miss. They will head back out on the course tomorrow morning at 8:45 a.m. ET for the final round of competition.
