
Smith and Hillis Placed First In Prelims Heading Into Finals

Florida sends 16 to finals on night three of the SEC Championships
PRELIM RESULTS
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Dillon Hillis and Kieran Smith finish first in their respective events in the prelims heading into night three of the SEC Championship's.
Kieran Smith was the fastest Gator in the 400 IM with a time of 3:41.81 as well as was the fastest in the field. Joining Smith in the A-final will be Robert Finke, Miguel Cancel, and Kevin Vargas.
In the B-final for the 400 IM, Tyler Watson and John VanDeusen will be representing the Gators, as Watson tied for ninth in the prelims and VanDeusen was 15th in the prelims.
In the 100 fly, Eric Friese was the fastest Gator finishing fifth in the prelims with a time of 45.68. In the B-Final, Isaac Davis is the lone Gators as he finished ninth overall in the prelims with a time of 46.97
Trey Freeman finished fifth in the 200 free prelims with a time of 1:34.12 earing him a spot in the A-final later to night. Alfonso Mestre made the B-final as he was 13th overall with a time of 1:34.85.
Dillon Hillis was the top finisher in the 100 breast in the prelims and earned a spot in the A-final with a time of 51.27. Amro Al-Wir earned a spot in the C-final with a time of 53.66 and was 21st overall.
In the last even of the prelims this morning, Adam Chaney was the second fastest in the prelims and was the fastest Gator in the 100 back with a time of 45.44. Joining Chaney in A-final is Clark Beach as he finished fifth in the prelims.
In the C-final, we have Ethan Beach who finished 19th in the prelims and Trevor McGovern who finished tied for 20th.

Thursday evening will begin at 7 p.m. ET with the men's 400IM. The remainder of the schedule is the 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, and 100 back and the 400 medley relay.
