GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 5 Florida takes to the road this week and will make its first stop in Jacksonville to take on the Dolphins in a midweek contest at the Debbie & Fred Pruitt Softball Complex at 6 p.m. (ET). Tomorrow's game will have a video stream via YouTube on the Jacksonville Athletics page and will also be available on the radio at ESPN 98.1 FM/850AM WRUF with Kyle Crooks on the call.
Overall, this will be the 24
th all-time meeting between the Gators (24-3) and the Dolphins (17-9). UF holds a 23-0 record over JU and an 8-0 record when playing at the Pruitt Softball Complex.
The two teams met earlier this season and the Gators emerged with a 1-0 victory over the Dolphins Feb. 17, at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
Hannah Adams provided the walk-off heroics in the 7
th inning as she plated
Cheyenne Lindsey, who reached with a leadoff bunt single, via an RBI double to the left center field gap.
Katie Chronister picked up the win in relief, while Alyssa Bilodeau received the loss.
Florida enters this week after having swept then-ranked No. 13 LSU over the week at home. The Gators outscored the Tigers 21-7 in the series, which featured standout performances from Adams (7-for-11), Lindsey (4-for-9),
Kendyl Lindaman (3-for-9),
Jaimie Hoover (3-for-7), Emiliy Wilkie (3-for-6) and
Julia Cottrill (5-for-11).
Cottrill was tabbed SEC Co-Newcomer of the Week for her contributions last week. The Wichita, Kan. native tallied multi-hit performances three out of the four games played against Top 25 competition and belted her first career home run in the series opening win over LSU.
Adams posted a career-high 4-for-4 performance at the plate in the second game of the LSU series and will also carry a career-long 12-game hit streak into tomorrow's midweek game against the Dolphins.

Elizabeth Hightower (12-1) turned in two complete-game performances and picked up her fifth complete-game shutout in the 5-0 win over LSU.
Jacksonville enters tomorrow game after it lost the series against Florida Gulf Coast this past weekend. The Dolphins won the first game of the series 1-0, but then fell 6-3 and 6-1 to close out the weekend.
Bilodeau (8-6) currently holds a 1.04 ERA, while Skylar Whitty (7-3) will come in with a 1.94 ERA. JU's offense features four .300-plus hitters in Victoria Rodebaugh (.351), Samantha Poehlman (.324), Ashley Darakjian (.357) and Hannah Roberts (.333).
Following the midweek contest against Jacksonville, the Gators will travel to Athens, Ga. for a three-game SEC series against Georgia this Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m. and Monday at 7 p.m. (ET).
