Florida Concludes Regular Season in Naples

The Gators men’s golf team tied for fourth in their final regular season performance.

NAPLES, Fla. – The University of Florida men's golf team concluded play at the Calusa Cup, marking their last regular season round of golf. The Gators posted an 11-over total par 875 through three days of competition to tie for fourth in the field of nine.

Freshman Joe Pagdin shined for the Gators, fueled by his first round 67. The England native posted three rounds of consistent play and finished in a tie for fifth individually, his best performance to date in the orange and blue. Pagdin was the only Gators golfer to post a final score under par.

Tyler Wilkes followed in his fellow freshman's footsteps, posting his second-straight T-15 finish behind a 3-over par 219 performance. Wilkes posted the best round of the day for the Gators and the best of the round of his tournament with an even scorecard.

Both Ricky Castillo and Fred Biondi tied for 20th behind 5-over par overall performances.

Yuxin Lin rounded out the Gators lineup, finishing 9-over par and in sole possession of 28th place.

Gio Manzoni, who played as an individual, finished one stroke off of his Gators teammate with a 10-over par scorecard to finish tied for 30th.

NOTABLE

Freshman Joe Pagdin recorded the highest finish of his career, posting a 1-under par 215 to tie for fifth individually.
Freshman Tyler Wilkes recorded his second straight top-15 finish. This marks his third-straight finish in the top-20 individually.
Ricky Castillo recorded his third top-20 finish of the season.
