GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators softball team will host an NCAA Regional for the 16^th consecutive season at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. The team found out their placement as the national No. 4 seed during tonight's selection show on ESPN2.

Joining Florida in the Gainesville Regional will be Baylor (27-21), South Alabama (30-19) and South Florida (29-17).

Florida has hosted an NCAA Regional every year under the direction of head coach Tim Walton. The double-elimination regional starts Friday, May 21 through Sunday, May 23.

As the No. 4 seed in this year's tournament, the Gators will have the opportunity to host an NCAA Super Regional should the team prevail out of the Gainesville Regional. The team would then face the winner out of the Athens Regional.

Gators in the NCAA Tournament

• The Gators hold a 44-19 record overall at the NCAA Regionals.
• Since 2006, UF has posted 29 shutouts in 44 regional games played and has outscored opponents 142-24 over that span.
• Florida has earned a Top 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament for the 13^th consecutive season. It's also the third time that UF has been selected as a No. 4 national seed.

 
Ticket Information
The NCAA dictates that each Regional host site limit capacity to no more than 50% while adhering to local safety guidelines. In accordance with UF Health, all seat locations for a potential Gainesville Regional, will follow the 3-feet physical distancing guidelines and will be sold in pods of 2. The NCAA also requires that the host site hold 100 seats for each participating team during their game.

Due to the limited number of seats and the amount of accounts that are eligible, each account will be limited to a maximum of 2 seats. 

Accounts with 2021 mini-season and season plans can order All-Session Regional Reserved Passes now through 5 p.m. Monday, May 17, limit 2. 

General Public can order All-Session Regional Passes - no guarantee reserved seats will be available Tuesday, May 18 at 8:30 a.m.
