Incoming Gators Perform at U.S. Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A trio of incoming Gator freshmen opened U.S. Gymnastics Championships Friday.
The final day of the U.S. Championships is Sunday at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

The four-day championships decides the 2021 men's and women's national all-around and individual event champions and serves as an important stop on the Road to Tokyo, as performances help determine who competes at U.S. Olympic Team Trials, set for June 24-27 in St. Louis, Mo.
The U.S. Men's and Women's National Teams will be renamed following the U.S. Championship' conclusion.

- Leanne Wong competed as an all-arounder and stands in fifth after Friday's opening day.
- Riley McCusker competed only on the uneven bars, posting the event's third-highest mark Friday.
- Morgan Hurd performed on balance beam (10.30) and floor exercise (12.60).
The final day of the U.S. Championships is Sunday at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
