Mack Wins B-Final At Wave One In The 50 Free

Katie Mack finishes first in the 50 free B-final to place ninth overall in wave one at the Olympic Trials.
Katie Mack and Gabby Hillis got things going on the last night of wave one in the 50 free. Mack finished 14th in the prelims to advance to the B-final where she shattered her prelims time by .22 seconds to win the B-final with a time of 25.78.
Hillis, who also competed in the 50 free, finished eighth in her heat and 59th overall with a time of 26.86.
On the men's side, Jack VanDeusen finished fourth in his heat and 12th overall in his final race at the trials in the 1500 free with a time of 16:18.49.
