Scottie Lewis Drafted by Charlotte Hornets

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Charlotte Hornets selected Florida guard Scottie Lewis with the 56th overall selection of the 2021 NBA Draft on Thursday, joining Gators teammate Tre Mann as an NBA draftee.
"We're so happy for Scottie to have this opportunity," UF head coach Mike White said. "I know it's a dream come true for him, and we will be cheering for him as he takes on this next step in his career."
This marks the fifth time in program history the Gators have had multiple players selected in the same draft, the fourth since the draft moved to two rounds in 1989.
Lewis averaged 8.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 51 appearances over his two seasons at Florida and earned 2020 SEC All-Freshman honors. Lewis twice posted a career-best 19 points and had one double-double as a Gator.
