GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Six former Florida softball players are set to compete in the second season of the Athletes Unlimited softball league. The league's season is set to run from August 28, through September 27, in Rosemont, Illinois.
Olympic silver medalists Michelle Moultrie, Aubree Munro and Kelsey Stewart are set to return for their second season, along with Aleshia Ocasio and
Jordan Roberts.
Amanda Lorenz will also make her debut as a part of the league this upcoming Saturday.
Games will air throughout the five-week season on FS1, FS2, CBS Sports Network and YouTube. The full schedule can be found
here.
In preparation for the first week of competition, the league held its Week 1 Draft this past Tuesday with the former Gators being selected to three of the four different teams. Cat Osterman, Jessie Warren, Victoria Hayward and Erika Piancastelli were named captains after finishing in the top four of the standings during the inaugural season in 2020.
Lorenz was drafted in the first round by Team Warren (Orange) and is joined by Munro, while Ocasio and Roberts were selected to Team Hayward (Blue), and Moultrie and Stewart were picked up by Team Osterman (Gold).

For those unfamiliar with the league, there is no team champion or postseason type of play as an individual champion will be determined by the athlete that accumulates the most points.
Also, at the conclusion of play each week, the top four individual point scorers will earn spots as team captains and will draft their team for the following week from the remaining pool of players.
Individually, players can earn points a variety of ways such as being named the MVP of a game, garnering hits or stealing bases. They can also lose points by being thrown out trying to steal a base or giving up earned runs if you are a pitcher.
As a team, players earn points by outscoring their opponents in each inning and by winning the game.
