Four Gators Graduate with Honors Saturday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four Gator gymnasts – Alyssa Baumann, Leah Clapper, Jazmyn Foberg and Savannah Schoenherr - graduate with honors today. Clapper graduates summa cum laude, while Baumann, Foberg and Schoenherr receive their degrees cum laude.
They will receive their bachelor's degrees Saturday in the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center – the same arena they clinched their third consecutive Southeastern Conference title in February.
There will be four Gator graduates on the 2022 team as Baumann, Clapper and Schoenherr join 2020 graduate Megan Skaggs on the upcoming season's team.
All four also are Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-Americans. They earned Academic All-SEC honors every possible season.
Gator Grad Quick Notes:

Gator Grad Quick Notes:
- Baumann is the only gymnast in league history to claim three SEC balance beam titles. The eight-time All-American will begin studies for a master's degree in Management this fall. She announced in May she would return for a fifth season in 2022.
- Clapper became the 17th Gator to earn a 10.0 with her perfect mark in the Gators Link to Pink Meet. The All-American picked up the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and CoSIDA Academic All-America first-team honors in 2021. She was dual enrolled in graduate classes and will continue work toward her Professional Master's in the College of Journalism.
- Foberg was limited after elbow surgery following her freshman season. She did post a season-best 9.85 vault in three consecutive meets, including the 2021 SEC Championships. Foberg announced her retirement from gymnastics following the 2021 season.
- A regular in the Gators vault and uneven bars lineups through her first three season, Schoenherr made her collegiate competitive beam debut at Alabama. The three-time All-American anchored the Gators' lineup with a 9.875 to help clinch sole possession of the 2021 SEC regular-season team title. She will begin studies for the master's degree in Sports Management this fall.
