Future Gator Simone Rose Adds Two Pan American Championships Silvers

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - Incoming Florida freshman Simone Rose added two more medals to an impressive Pan American Championships performance, capturing silver on uneven bars and balance beam Sunday at Carioca Arena 1 in Parque Olímpico.
Rose leaves Rio with three medals after also helping the U.S. Senior National Team claim gold in Wednesday's team competition.
Rose claimed her first medal on the uneven bars with a mark of 13.333. On the balance beam, she posted the same mark as Argentina's Isabella Ajalla of 13.70 with Ajalla taking the gold after tie-breaker was applied.
U.S.'s Claire Peace also claimed medals Sunday, winning floor exercise and taking third on vault. Rose also competed in the vault final, placing sixth.
Rose now has claimed three individual international medals in 2026, as she won balance beam bronze at the Jesolo Trophy competition in Italy this spring.
Rose is one of five freshmen who enroll at the University of Florida this fall – Carsyn Coleman, Ella Fine, Kieryn Finnell and Jayla Hang.
