
Napier Welcomes Lamar Sorey as Personnel Quality Control

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gators Head Coach Billy Napier announced Tuesday that Lamar Sorey will join his staff in the role of personnel quality control. Sorey will assist personnel staff with player evaluations and recruiting.
A native of Campbellton, Fla., Sorey spent the 2021 season as a scouting assistant for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Sorey, who earned his degree in sport management from Middle Tennessee State University last year, worked as a student assistant with the Blue Raiders from 2018-20.
A U.S. Army veteran, Sorey served as a logistic specialist from 2015-18. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal in 2017 and the Army Commendation Medal is 2018.
Sorey is the first cousin of Champ Kelly, who currently serves as assistant director of player personnel for the Chicago Bears.
