LUBBOCK, Texas – In the final regular season event of the indoor season, Florida got impressive performances from
Semira Killebrew,
Joseph Fahnbulleh,
Caleb Foster and
Cameron Miller to take positive momentum into next week's SEC Indoor Championships.
Â
Killebrew ran 7.28 in the finals of the 60 meters to capture the event title. After running 7.19 at the Bob Pollock Meet in late-January, Killebrew followed that up with another sub-7.30 mark. For the third consecutive year, Killebrew will run the 60 meters at the SEC Indoor Championships. She is a two-time medalist in the event.
Â
After missing out on the first three meet weekends of the year, Fahnbulleh made his season debut in both the 60 meters and the 200 meters. In the 60-meter final, Fahnbulleh ran 6.85 to finish in fourth place. To follow that up, the 2020 Olympian ran 21.22 in his first 200 meters of the year to take third.
Â
Miller made his return to the track for the first time since the Clemson Invitational by running a personal best of 20.67 in the 200 meters. That is the eighth-fastest mark in the NCAA this year and tied for ninth fastest in Florida history.
Â
Foster finished the 60-meter hurdles in second with a time of 7.99
Â
The Gators will return to action in full next week as both teams compete for SEC Indoor Titles in College Station, Texas.
