Maisie Filler posted her team-leading 13th round under-par in round one.
TUCSON, Ariz. - The Florida women's golf team concluded the first day of the MountainView Collegiate on Friday.
The Gators ended the first set of 18 holes tied for 8th with Oklahoma at 290 (+2). Texas Tech leads the pack after shooting a school-record 17-under.
Maisie Filler (T21) continued to stay hot and recorded her team-leading 13th round under-par this season with a 71 (-1). The performance by the Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., native marked the fifth time she began a tournament shooting under.
Also finishing 1-under was Annabell Fuller as she carded a clean back nine with a birdie on 17 to end tied for 21st.
Both Marina Escobar and Clara Manzalini shot 74s (+2) in the opening round to sit T45 as Jenny Kim (+10) is tied for 85th.
The Gators tee off round two tomorrow at MoutainView Golf Club at 11:09 a.m. ET.
