GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Today's midweek softball contest of No. 6 Florida against Stetson has been postponed to Wednesday, April 27, at 6 p.m. at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
The Gators (26-3) and the Hatters (12-19) game was postponed due to expected unfavorable weather conditions in Gainesville this afternoon.
Florida defeated Stetson yesterday 7-0 in DeLand behind a combined two-hitter thrown by freshman Lexie Delbrey and fifth year graduate Natalie Lugo. Charla Echols and Reagan Walsh notched home runs in the effort and senior Cheyenne Lindsey tied her career-high going 3-for-3 at the plate.
Florida will now prepare to continue Southeastern Conference play against No. 15 Tennessee this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. Friday's game at 6 p.m. and Saturday's game at 1 p.m. will be streamed live via SEC Network +, while Sunday's 2 p.m. game will be televised on ESPNU.
