
Pavinelli Tabbed as Tewaaraton Top-25 Nominee

Florida’s total moves to 15 Top-25 nominations in the 13-year history of the program
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sophomore attacker Danielle Pavinelli was tabbed as a 2022 Tewaaraton Top-25 Nominee, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation on Thursday.
This marks the first Top-25 nomination of Pavinelli's career and the 2022 season marks the 21st anniversary of the Tewaaraton award.
Overall, the Gators have had 15 Top-25 nominations stemming from 12 Gators in the 13-year history of Florida lacrosse.
The sophomore earned the distinction after scoring 68 points on 48 goals and 20 assists through 14 games this season. She is currently shooting .539 and has also tallied 11 draw controls, 11 groundballs and 10 caused turnovers.
The Northport, N.Y. native ranks in the Top-20 nationally in three categories: free position percentage (6th | .722), points (19th | 68) and points per game (20th | 4.86). She also ranks first in the conference in points per game (4.86), second in goals per game (3.43), and fifth in both assists per game (1.43) and shots per game (6.36).
For her efforts, she has earned nine AAC Weekly honors this season – Attacker of the Week (4), Honor Roll (5).
FLORIDA TEWAARATON AWARD HISTORY
Five finalists will be announced in early May. The Tewaaraton Award recipients will be chosen after the conclusion of the collegiate lacrosse season.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse players in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
