
Dressel Secures Third Title on Night 3 of Phillips 66

The Gators had 10 swimmers compete across the A, B and C Finals on Thursday night
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – On the third night of the Phillips 66 International Team Trials, all 10 Gators made appearances across the A, B and C Finals.
In what came as a surprise to no one, Caeleb Dressel clinched his third ticket to Budapest after going 50.20 in the A Final of the 100M fly, .68 seconds faster than the next competitor. Jace Crawford competed in the B Final of the event, finishing sixth in the heat with a time of 53.19.
Bobby Finke finished third in the men's 400M Individual Medley, just .07 off second place with his swim of 4:10.57. Peter Bretzmann swam in the B Final of the event, finishing eighth with a time of 4:27.75, while Brennan Gravley competed in the C Final, placing seventh with a swim of 4:29.75.
Natalie Hinds led the way for the women in the 100M fly, finishing seventh overall with a time of 58.45.
Dillon Hillis swam a time of 28.50 in the A Final of the men's 50M breaststroke, finishing eighth overall in the event.
In the B Final of the women's 50M breaststroke, Tylor Mathieu finished seventh in the heat and 15th overall with a time of 32.37, while Peoples placed fourth in the C Final with a time of 33.24.
The final race of the night was the A Final of the 50M backstroke, where Adam Chaney finished sixth overall with a swim 24.82.
Tomorrow's races will begin at 9 a.m. with the women's 400M freestyle event.
