Two Gator Golfers Earn Degrees this Weekend

Manny Girona and Clara Manzalini both received their degrees from the University of Florida.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Gator golfers Manny Girona and Clara Manzalini both earned their degrees this weekend as the University of Florida celebrated its spring commencement.

Girona joined the program in 2017 from Windermere Preparatory School (Windermere, Fla.) and was a two-time (2019, 2020) SEC Community Service Team member. He also earned Pete Fox Award, given to the Florida men's golfer who exemplifies how Florida alumni Pete Fox lived his life – with selflessness, generosity, character and an understanding of the value of every day. Girona received his bachelor's degree in Food and Resource Economics.

Manzalini made her impact right away with being named to the SEC All-Freshman and All-SEC Second Team in 2019. She concluded her first season in the Orange and Blue with also being on the SEC First-Year Honor Roll. Recently she won both her matches in the SEC Championship quarterfinals (2&1) and semifinals (4&3) to help send the Gators to the finals. On Saturday, she earned her bachelor's in Economics.

Florida celebrated 67 total student-athletes across all sports who will walk across commencement stages during graduation weekend. For a complete list of all Gators graduating this spring, click here.
