Gators and Hokies to Resume Series Opener Saturday

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Game one of the NCAA Blacksburg Super Regional between No.14-seed Florida and No.3-seed Virginia Tech was paused in the top of the fifth inning Friday afternoon due to weather conditions at Tech Softball Park. Play will resume Saturday at 10:02 a.m. on ESPNU.
The Gators (46-16) and the Hokies (45-8) were about to enter the top of the fifth inning of play when play was halted due to a weather system moving through the area. Virginia Tech currently holds the lead in the contest 6-0 over Florida.
Game two of the series is still scheduled for 12 p.m. on ESPN.
