Seven Gators Land on SEC Academic Honor Roll

Fred Biondi, Quentin Debove, John DuBois, Manny Girona, Ryan Hart, Giovanni Manzoni and Tyler Wilkes all earned honor roll recognition.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Seven Florida men's golfers landed on the SEC Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Wednesday. Fred Biondi, Quentin Debove, John DuBois, Manny Girona, Ryan Hart, Giovanni Manzoni and Tyler Wilkes all earned the recognition.
The honor is the fourth-straight for Girona and third consecutive nod for Biondi and the second for both Debove and DuBois.
The seven honorees are the most for the men's golf team since the 2007-08 season, when the program had a program-record nine on the Academic Honor Roll.
Between lacrosse, baseball, golf, softball, tennis and track & field, the University of Florida had an astounding 124 student-athletes named to the Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll.
To be recognized for the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must meet the following criteria: 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
