Ocasio, Lorenz and Roberts Prepped for 2022 Athletes Unlimited Season

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Aleshia Ocasio, Amanda Lorenz and Jordan Roberts are set to compete in 2022 Athletes Unlimited Softball season, which is set to take place from July 29 through August 28 at the Parkway Bank Sports Complex in Rosemont, Ill.
The upcoming season will be the third year of competition for the transformative league that splits 60 professional softball athletes into four player-led squads that compete for individual points. The top four points leaders from each week serve as captains for the following week then redraft new squads for weekend competition.
The highest point scorer at the end of the five-week season is then declared the Athletes Unlimited Champion and each athlete receives additional cash and prizes based on their final rankings.
Last season, Ocasio claimed the title of 2021 Athletes Unlimited Champion after a successful season both in the circle and at the plate. The right-handed hurler was the only athlete to eclipse the 2,000-point mark last season as she earned 1,040 win points, 736 stat points and 320 most valuable player points for a combined 2,096 points.
Lorenz followed up with an 11th place finish with 1,404 points, while Roberts accumulated 1,304 points for a 21st place finish.
The trio also participated in the shortened three-week AUX season that took place in San Diego, Calif earlier this summer. Roberts placed 14th overall, Lorenz finished 20th and Ocasio followed up to secure her spot in 31st.
