
Gators Add 2020 Olympian Emma Weyant

Emma Weyant was a silver medalist in the 400 IM at the 2020 Olympics
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – 2020 Olympic silver medalist Emma Weyant will be joining the Gators, head coach Anthony Nesty officially announced today.
Weyant earned silver at last summer's Olympic games in Tokyo, clocking a 4:32.76 for her first Olympic medal.
The Sarasota, Florida native returns to her home state following a successful freshman year at Virginia, which included a second-place finish in the 500 free and a fourth-place finish in the 400 IM at the NCAA Championships. She was the ACC Champion in the 500 free and runner-up in the 400 IM.
A member of the U.S. National team, Weyant medaled in the 4x200 free relay at the 2021 FINA Short Course World Championships after swimming in the third leg during the prelims.
Weyant was a four-time All-American and a four-time FHSAA 4A State Champion in the 500 free and 200 IM at Riverview High School.
