Light up the Swamp with the New Gator Lights Show

Fans can take part in the new cell phone light show during "I Won't Back Down."
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gators fans can now elevate their game day experience at The Swamp this fall. The new Gator Lights Show, presented by Pepsi, will debut during the playing of "I Won't Back Down" in the third quarter break.
 
The light show will feature thousands of phones flashing to the beat of the music.

Fans can participate in the light show during the third-quarter break by downloading or updating the free Florida Gators Mobile App from the Apple App Store or get it on Google Play.
 
Once inside the app, tap on "Gator Lights" on the bottom menu and follow the directions. Phones will light up The Swamp when Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down" song is played. Make sure to have Gator Lights open at the start of the third quarter break to be part of the show!

Florida Gators fans honor Gainesville, Florida, native Tom Petty in between the third and fourth quarters by singing "I Won't Back Down," one of the late artist's biggest hits. The song first played on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, against the LSU Tigers in which 90,000 fans sang along.
