Gators to Honor Seniors Friday Against FAU

Florida swimming and diving returns following nearly two-month hiatus.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 4/8 ranked Florida Gators Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving returns to action on Friday for senior day against FAU. The meet will begin with one diving event from 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m., before the swim meet starts at 2 p.m. Florida will honor 18 seniors before the meet at 1:30 p.m.

The 2022-23 senior class has accounted for 53 All-American honors, six school records, and two national titles. Two seniors are members of the 2022-23 U.S. Swimming National Team, while another won gold at the FINA World Championships last June. Outside of the pool, this group has been named to the SEC Academic Roll over 25 times.

The Gators last competed at the Georgia Invite from Nov. 17-19, and haven't swam in a dual since the sweep over No. 13/7 Tennessee on Nov. 5. Florida's women are 4-1 this season, while the men are 3-1.

Florida is a perfect 44-0 all-time against FAU between men's and women's programs. To kick off the 2021-22 season, the Gators swept the Owls on Oct. 2, 2021 in Boca Raton, Florida.

Friday's meet can be followed along on the MeetMobile app.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Admission into the meet is free. Parking will be available on the top level of the O'Connell Center garage for spectators to park. Fans can use Gate 2 as the entrance to the meet, which will open at 11 a.m.

The first 100 fans will receive a Gators swim and dive throwback t-shirt, while all students in attendance will receive a wristband and can skip the line for Friday night's gymnastics meet against Auburn at 7:15 p.m.
