Two Gators Claim SEC Weekly Gymnastics Honors

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gator duo of Leanne Wong and Kayla DiCello claim Southeastern Conference weekly gymnastics honors after Friday's league opening win.
After her double 10.0 meet and posting the nation's leading all-around of 2023 in Florida's win versus then No. 5 Auburn, Wong claims her third SEC Gymnast of the Week honor.
DiCello is the SEC Specialist Gymnast of the Week after turning in marks of 9.9 or better for each event she competed Friday, equaling or raising her collegiate bests in each apparatus. This is her second consecutive week collecting league honors as she claimed the first SEC Freshman of the Week honor.

- Won all-around in the top dual of the weekend (No. 2 Florida vs No. 5 Auburn) with nation's top total (39.825) of 2023
- First gymnast in nation to post a pair of 10.0 in single meet – uneven bars and balance beam.
- Set or equaled three collegiate bests – bars & beam (10.0) and floor (9.975)
- First in the nation with an uneven bars 10.0 for second consecutive season; perfect mark for balance beam was first of Gator career
- Equaled collegiate floor best (9.975) for third time of Gator career to take second
- Won in first all-around appearance of 2023; fourth all-around win as a Gator
Kayla DiCello – SEC Specialist of the Week:
- Set or equaled collegiate bests in each of three events competed
- Shared second on vault (9.90) and balance beam (9.925) – both setting collegiate bests
- Equaled collegiate best on uneven bars (9.925) to take third
