GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida's Kayla DiCello is the Southeastern Conference Freshman Gymnast of the Week after the Gators opened 2023 road action last Friday with a win at No. 11 Alabama.
On Friday, DiCello tallied a 39.50 collegiate best to take second among a Gator all-around sweep. She equaled her collegiate bests on uneven bars and balance beam, scoring a 9.925 on both events. DiCello took home the win on beam and shared the uneven bars title with Trinity Thomas.
This is the third consecutive week for DiCello to claim SEC weekly recognition. She picked up the first SEC Freshman of the Week honor and was last week's SEC Specialist of the Week.

- Equaled collegiate beam best of 9.925 for second consecutive meet to take sole possession of event title.
- Bars and beam wins first apparatus wins as a Gator. Won season opening all-around.
