Florida sophomore guard
Riley Kugel earned first-team honors on the Southeastern Conference men's basketball preseason All-SEC team as voted on by the league's coaches, the SEC announced on Thursday.
The list of preseason honors for the Orlando native continues to grow, previously earning a second-team All-SEC nod from the media voters and being named to the Jerry West Award Watch List during October. Kugel averaged 9.9 points as a freshman last season, and his 114 made field goals ranked second on the Gators behind only
Colin Castleton.
The Gators are set to tip the 2023-24 campaign in four days, hosting Loyola Maryland at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6.
