GAINESVILLE, Fla. – All-American honors for the 2023 NCAA Division I Cross Country season were announced on Monday afternoon following the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships held on Saturday.

The Southeastern Conference accounted for ten All-American honors across both the men's and women's races, the third most by any conference behind the ACC and Big 12.

Parker Valby and
Flomena Asekol are the two Gators represented on the list after their first and sixth place finishes in Saturday morning's action.

Valby, the redshirt junior from Tampa, Fla., tallied her third career USTFCCCA Cross Country All-American honor. She earned her first in 2021 when she placed 27
th overall, her second after a runner-up finish in 2022, and captured her third courtesy of an individual national championship this weekend.

Asekol, in her first year with the Gators, also totaled her third USTFCCCA Cross Country All-American honor, improving in placement in every year of competition. The native of Kenya placed 29
th back in 2021, improved to 14
th in 2022 and jumped eight spots in 2023 for a sixth place finish.
