Gators Set League Record, 62 Named to SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll

Florida topped its previous record of 55 honor roll members, including 27 Gators with a GPA of 3.4 or higher.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Sixty-two University of Florida football players were named to the 2022 Southeastern Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Thursday.
The number is a new conference program record, topping the previous mark of 55 honorees in 2020. A total of 113 Florida student-athletes earned recognition across men's and women's cross country, soccer and volleyball.
Twenty-seven student-athletes earned a GPA of 3.4 or higher, including two 4.0s by Noah Keeter and Marco Ortiz. Also, 33 Gators received the conference honor for at least the second time.
The 2022 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2022 spring, summer and fall terms. For a full list of honorees, please see below.
To be recognized to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
