Florida Soccer Holds Annual Banquet

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The University of Florida soccer team held its annual awards banquet Tuesday evening at Spurrier's Gridiron Grille.
Junior midfielder Delaney Tauzel – Florida's 2022 points (7), assists (3) and goals (2) leader - is the Gators' Player of the Year.
Freshman goalkeeper Jayden Emmanuel is the Players' Choice recipient. The Players' Choice honor goes to the athlete who makes the biggest impression both on and off the field, as voted on by the members of the team.
Senior Syd Kennedy is the Leadership Award recipient and junior Anna DeLeon claims the Student Person Player Award.
Junior midfielder Josie Curtis is recipient of the Erin Baxter Effort Award, which goes to a player who pushes the team to higher levels.
Redshirt freshman Oakley Rasmussen is the Karyn Hall Academic Excellence award recipient. The Robin Fulton Academic Achievement Award, given to the player who displays hard work and determination in the classroom, went to redshirt sophomore Tori Grambo. The duo were among 15 Gators on the 2022 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll. The Gators turned in an impressive 3.58 grade point average for the fall 2022 semester.
Rasmussen claims an additional honor, receiving the Iron Gator Award for her strength and conditioning work in- and off-season.
