GAINESVILLE, Fla. — They are hosting a birthday bash at Celebration Pointe on Monday night.

Spurrier's Gridiron Grille is turning 2.

UF ambassador and Gators icon Steve Spurrier's restaurant has become a favorite go-to spot for locals and out-of-towners alike. Spurrier and his wife Jerri are hosting a charity dinner on Monday from 5 to 10 p.m. to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida.

Spurrier's Gridiron Grille will donate 11 percent of all food sales and 66 percent of all beer, wine and cocktail sales to the local charity that assists families with seriously ill children receiving care at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital.

Those in attendance will have the option of a buffet dinner, including a filet mignon carving station, prime rib, shrimp and grits, and Jerri Spurrier's famous chocolate chip cookies. Meanwhile, guests can enter to win door prizes including a limited-edition commemorative coin celebrating the second anniversary, autographed items, and a grand prize: dinner with Coach Spurrier and Jerri Spurrier at Spurrier's Gridiron Grille.

Since opening in 2021, Spurrier's Gridiron Grille has emerged as one of the state of Florida's most successful restaurants.

The restaurant announced Friday that dinner reservations have sold out, but fans can still attend the event and sit at the open bar.
