Monday, September 18, 2023 | Football
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Nothing beats the feeling of a Saturday night win in the Swamp, but waking up to a full slate of NFL games the next morning may be a close second.
Here is how all of your favorite Gators fared in week two of NFL action.
Offensive Highlights
Indianapolis rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson scored two rushing touchdowns in the first six minutes of play this week in Houston. Richardson appeared ready to run circles around the Texans defense, but he was removed after the next Indianapolis possession with an apparent concussion.
After a tough first game for Kadarius Toney, the human joystick rebounded against Jacksonville this week for five receptions, leading the Chiefs in their win over the Jaguars.
Defensive Highlights
Two members of Florida's 2016 defense recorded sacks in the NFL this week in Detroit's Alex Anzalone and Indianapolis' Taven Bryan. Bryan's sack was his only tackle of the day, but Anzalone added four more solo tackles before the game was over.
