Gators in the NFL: Week 3

Former Florida Gators represent 25 different NFL teams in Week 3 action.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. –  Another NFL Sunday has come and gone, which can mean only one thing… Only 6 more days until the next NFL Sunday! However, as we wait for that day to arrive, let's see how 42 of our favorite former Gators fared in week three.

Offensive Highlights
Dameon Pierce is no stranger to the endzone, reaching the paint 23 times as a Gator (24 including all attempts with/without a helmet). In the Texans' battle with the Jacksonville Jaguars, he opened up the scoring with a one-yard push to put Houston up six points early.

He also seems to have run out of touchdown celebration ideas, outsourcing this one from a teammate.

Defensive Highlights
Jeremiah Moon played six seasons at Florida, suffering a season-ending injury as a freshman for a redshirt, and an additional year of eligibility due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. He went undrafted in the 2022 NFL draft, and signed as a free agent with Baltimore. He didn't make the 53-man roster out of camp, and spent his first season with Baltimore on the practice fields.

After all of this, Moon made his NFL Debut in Baltimore this Sunday with the Ravens. This week's defensive highlight is the perseverance and dedication of Jeremiah Moon. Congratulations, JM!

Special Teams Highlights
Tommy Townsend only made one punt this week, but he sure made it count! With the Chiefs halted on their opening drive, Tommy sent a 55-yarder to the Bears' 3-yard line.
