Florida Lands at No. 3 in D1Baseball’s Top 100 Programs

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators baseball team was ranked as the No. 3 overall program in all of college baseball, as unveiled in final installment of the D1Baseball Top 100 Programs on Tuesday.
Florida is one of just two schools in the country to make the top five in all five editions of D1Baseball's Top 100 Programs rankings. As a matter of fact, the Gators have never even dropped out of the top four.
The publication has been ranking the top 100 programs in the sport every two-to-three years since 2015 (2015, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2024), with the goal of identifying "the programs in the best shape right now, with an eye toward the next five to 10 years."
Here is where the Gators have ranked in every edition since 2015:
2024 – No. 3
2022 – No. 4
2019 – No. 1
2017 – No. 1
2015 – No. 3

"Kevin O'Sullivan has created an absolute monster during his tenure in Gainesville, and the Gators moved up one spot from No. 4 to No. 3 in our latest ranking of the nation's premier programs. To give you an idea what kind of culture the Gators have, look no further than last season. UF entered the 2024 campaign with high expectations. But for a myriad of reasons, they didn't reach their full potential until the tail end of the season. Not only did the Gators squeak into a Regional, they won a Super Regional and made yet another trip to the College World Series. You also could argue they were a Jace LaViolette catch at the wall away from playing for a national title for a second-straight seasons. UF played for the national title two seasons ago against Paul Skenes and LSU, and finished that campaign with a 54-17 overall record. In '22, UF went 42-24 overall, hosted yet another regional and was the No. 13 national seed, while going 38-22 overall back in '21. The Gators are synonymous with Omaha and the College World Series, and this program remains in excellent shape with an incredibly rich recruiting ground, a fantastic overall facility, and a tradition over the past decade that is only rivaled by a couple of programs in our sport. O'Sullivan is the epitome of consistency in the modern era of college baseball."
