Wednesday, November 13, 2024 | Softball
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida softball coach Tim Walton and his staff are excited to announce the addition of three future Gators with the signing of their athletics aid agreement on Wednesday.
Makenna Bellaire, Kalie Matsuno and Kylie Shaw make up Florida's 2025 signing class.
Shaw and Bellaire become the 103rd and 104th Gator signees from the Sunshine State, while Matsuno is the 32nd signee in program history from California.
"I'm very excited about this signing class. Even though it's a small class, it addresses some big needs in our program," Walton said. "We add speed and versatility in the outfield with Kylie Shaw, we add a shortstop that has played at a high level in both high school and travel ball in Kalie Matsuno and we add an all-state catcher in Makenna Bellaire. All three of them play championship-level softball and have extremely high work ethic. We're excited that they're Gators."

"I chose Florida because I love the campus and the people I will be surrounded by every day. It's an amazing softball program and school and I'm excited to play great softball while getting a great education. I want to, and believe we can, compete and win for NCAA titles. I also want to earn my law degree from Florida."
