GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida softball team wrapped up its fall exhibition schedule with a 14-0 victory over College of Central Florida in ten innings on Thursday evening.
As a team, Florida tallied 22 hits and scored in seven of the 10 innings played against the Patriots.
The Gators finished their fall slate undefeated, earning wins over Jacksonville, Florida State, UNF, Florida Southwestern, Mercer, Saint Leo, UCF and College of Central Florida.

Notables vs. College of Central Florida – Game 1 (Gators 14, CF 0) – 10 innings:
- Townsen Thomas tallied a team-best 4 RBI, going 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, her first of fall, and a pair of runs
- Korbe Otis went 4-for-6 with a double, a triple, three RBI, two runs and a stolen base
- Taylor Shumaker was 4-for-6 with a double, a triple, a team-high two stolen bases and three runs
- Gabi Comia went 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs
- Jocelyn Erickson went 3-for-5 with two RBI
- Rylee Holtorf was the third Gator with a triple against the Patriots
- For the second game in a row, Layla Lamar had an RBI, recording a sacrifice fly
- In the circle, the Gators used four pitchers: Olivia Miller, Keagan Rothrock, Ava Brown and Kara Hammock
- The pitching staff combined for the team's fourth shutout of the fall and allowed just six hits
- Hammock and Rothrock each pitched two innings apiece, combining for nine strikeouts. Hammock fanned four batters and Rothrock struck out a team-best five
Fall Season Highlights:
- Four Gators hit above .500: Williams (.548), Shumaker (.548), Comia (.563) and Kendra Falby (.500)
- Williams led the team with five home runs, slugging 1.226
- Shumaker led the team in runs scored (21) and doubles (10)
- Falby was a perfect 7-for-7 in stolen base attempts
- Brown and Erickson hit a pair of home runs each
- Reagan Walsh and Williams drove in a team-best 16 runs, followed by Shumaker with 14
- Erickson drew a team-best 12 walks
- Florida plated double-digit runs in all eight wins
- In 14 innings pitched, Rothrock did not allow a run and struck out 24 batters
- Hammock (16) and Katelynn Oxley (14) also each had double-digit strikeouts
- In 70 innings pitched, Florida's staff allowed just 12 runs, 10 earned, for a 1.29 ERA
