Moore Tabbed to SEC Community Service Team

The junior has been selected for his service in the Gainesville community and abroad.
 
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gators junior defensive back Devin Moore has been selected by the Southeastern Conference to the SEC Community Service team, the conference announced Thursday.
 
In 2024, Moore made service trips abroad to both Greece and South Africa, completing over 100 hours of service between the two trips. Moore has also served numerous charity events in the local Gainesville area with nine groups, including Bread of the Mighty, Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA and others.
 
Moore traveled abroad on service trips through Florida's GatorMade program. In Athens, Greece, Moore aided the Smile of the Child non-profit, assisting in painting, cleaning, and plumbing repairs to many homes, spending time with local children, and and organizing donations for the organization. He also spent time assisting in meal prep at soup kitchens across the city, preparing g and distributing meals to the homeless population around the city.
 
In Cape Town, South Africa, Moore spent a week assisting the Rise Above Development organization, assisting in the construction of water wells for use by the schools in the Lavender Hill community. He also volunteered with Project Playground, and assisted in the building of a playground for the children of the Gugulethu township.
