Gators in the NFL: Week 14

Former Gators stepped up in big ways during Week 14.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Week 14 didn't disappoint for the Gators. This week's edition features a new Gator offensive tackle tandem, another C.J. Gardner-Johnson Int and a career first for a former Gator hero.

Each week of the season, FloridaGators.com will cover all of the best moments from the NFL stars who made a name for themselves in Gainesville. Here is how the Orange and Blue fared in Week 14 of NFL play:

Offensive Highlights

Two former Gators anchored both sides of the Kansas City Chiefs O-line this weekend. Jawaan Taylor and DJ Humphries played a combined 129 snaps in the Chiefs win, helping KC total more than 300 yards of offense.

Defensive Highlights

C.J. Gardner-Johnson snagged his third interception Sunday, making the most of an overthrown ball. Gardner-Johnson also racked up six tackles (three solo) and two PBUs in the win.

Most Gator fans will remember him for his game sealing interception against Utah in 2022, but Raiders linebacker Amari Burney just had a stellar Sunday, notching his first career sack and forced fumble against Tampa Bay. The 2022 6th-round draft pick has tailed nine tackles, two TFLs, a forced fumble and a sack while playing in all 13 games this season.
