
Gators Reset League Record, Place 75 on SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll

Florida reset its previous record of 65 honorees in 2022
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Seventy-five University of Florida football players were named to the 2023 Southeastern Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Thursday.
The number is a new conference program record, topping the previous mark of 62 honorees in 2022. A total of 137 Florida student-athletes earned recognition across men's and women's cross country, football, soccer and volleyball.
Gators Football has reset the league record for players on Academic Honor Roll three times now since 2020, when the Gators boasted 55 honorees.
In total, 86 football players finished the fall semester with a GPA above a 3.0, while another 37 earned a 3.5 or better, and four finished with a 4.0. The Gators have 26 players who have received the conference honor for at least the second time.
Sixteen Gators graduated in Fall 2023 with five earning their Master's degree.
The 2024 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2023 spring, summer and fall terms. For a full list of football honorees, please see below.
To be recognized to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
