GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Trinity Thomas returns to the U.S. Senior National Gymnastics Team after a five-year absence. Thomas is part of the U.S. team for the 2024 Pacific Rim Championships, set for late April in Cali, Colombia.
Thomas last made her fourth consecutive U.S. Senior National team at the 2019 U.S. Championships. She is one of three gymnasts since 1982-83 to return to the U.S. Senior National Team after a four or more year gap:
Thomas earned a spot on the five-member U.S. Pacific Rim Championship team after this week's national team camp in Katy, Texas. This is Thomas' fifth U.S. international appearance and first since the 2018 Senior Pan American Championships in Lima, Peru.
As a Gator, Thomas won the last two Honda Awards as the nation's top collegiate gymnast. Thomas earned 34 All-America honors and her 28 10.0s shares the NCAA career record. Now she is a Gator student coach, enrolled in UF's entrepreneurship master's program and is training to pursue a spot on the 2024 U.S. Olympic team. She returned to elite competition earlier this year, taking fourth in U.S. Gymnastics Winter Cup all-around.
