Florida to Face Virginia in SEC-ACC Challenge

Florida men's basketball will host Virginia in the 2024 SEC-ACC Men's Basketball Challenge on Wednesday, Dec. 4, ESPN and the Southeastern Conference announced on Wednesday. This will mark the second season of the event, which the conferences split, 7-7, in its inaugural playing.
Florida holds a 2-2 all-time record vs. Virginia, with both wins coming in NCAA Tournament action (2012, 2017). Most recently, Virginia edged a shorthanded Florida squad, 73-70, in Charlotte in the second game of the 2023-24 campaign. This will mark the first game in series history to be held in either team's home arena.
The Gators look to build on a 24-win campaign in 2023-24 that featured a run to the SEC Tournament championship game and a return to the NCAA Tournament in Todd Golden's second season at the helm. Florida returns starters Walter Clayton Jr. and Will Richard along with a young core and a talented group of newcomers.

Season ticket holders are eligible to renew their same seats for the 2024-25 season through July 11. Payment plans and seat relocation opportunities are available for fans who renew by the July 11 deadline. All returning ticket holders can renew online, contact the Gator Ticket Office Service and Retention team at (352) 375-4683 or fill out a ticket information request form to be contacted.
