PARIS, France – Sunday's final day of Olympic action saw Genevieve LaCaze Gregson of Australia competing in the marathon.
Those with Gator ties started competition the day before the opening ceremonies and competed every day of the 2024 Summer Games. Gators won 11 medals in 2024 Summer Olympics competition - 4 golds, 4 silver and 3 bronze. This is the ninth Summer Olympics since the 1984 Los Angeles Games Gators won 11 or more medals. Gators now have won 156 Olympic medals, including 74 gold.
In the final medals count, 17 nations won 11 or more medals in 2024 Summer Olympic action.
Marathon
It wasn't her Olympic debut, but it was Genevieve LaCaze Gregson's first Olympic marathon. In her three previous Olympic appearances, LaCaze Gregson competed in the 3000m steeplechase. She finished 24th with a time of 2:29.56.MUM STRENGTH 🌟🌟

This four-time Olympian will be inducted into Florida Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 18.
