OCALA, Fla. –The University of Florida swimming & diving programs concluded their 2024-25 regular season competition on Friday with the annual Sunshine Showdown dual meet against Florida State. The in-state rivals met met inside the Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training (FAST) Facility, while Gator diving hosted the Seminoles inside the O'Connell Center Natatorium.

Women's: No. 4 Florida 138, No. 25 Florida State 161
The Gators won a total of 11 swimming events and finished in the top-three 41 times. On the men's side, 20 swimmers represented Florida, while 17 swimmers competed on the women's side. The Gator men earned first-places and finished in the top three 22 times. The women won six events and came away with 19 top-three finishes. Additionally, Florida recorded a combined 16 NCAA B-Cut times (nine of men's side and seven on women).
Junior Josh Liendo recorded two NCAA B-Cut times in the 100y butterfly (46.42) and 200y freestyle (1:35.29) for two top-two finishes in his individual events. Additionally, he was the lead off in Florida's winning 200 free relay and swam the fly leg in the Gators 200 medley relay team who finished third. Raphael Rached Windmuller found individual success for the men as well, sweeping the breaststroke events. He recorded an NCAA B-cut time of 1:56.67 in the 200y breast and finished with a 53.83 time in the 100y breast. Additionally, he swam a 24.32 breast split in Florida's 200y medley relay team who placed third and anchored the 200y free relay team who placed sixth (1:25.70/ 21.15).
Leading the way on the women's side was sophomore duo Catie Choate and Bella Sims. Choate recorded two NCAA B-cuts in both backstroke events, going 53.50 in the 100y back and 1:55.47 in the 200y back. Sims earned first in the 100y free (49.41) and 200y free (1:46.00), while placing third in the 50y free (23.07).
Diving
Gator diving came away with a full sweep on Friday after earning first place in all four diving events.

Since joining the team for second half of the 2024-25 season, Jesus Gonzalez earned his first event win as a Gator after scoring a 355.73 on 3-meter.
On the women's side, Camyla Monroy swept both springboard events, taking home her fourth 1-meter title and her fifth 3-meter. The sophomore earned a season-best on 1-meter after finishing with a 324.68 score before recording a 354.53 on 3-meter.
