GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gator soccer opens Southeastern Conference Tournament action Sunday with a 3 p.m. ET match with Kentucky. All 11 matches of the SEC Tournament air live on the SEC Network.
Florida makes its 28th SEC Tournament appearance, winning a league-high 12 titles with the last two coming in 2015 and 2016. This is the seventh meeting between Florida and Kentucky in SEC Tournament action and first since opening 2020 tournament action with a high-scoring 6-5 overtime win over the Kats.

All-SEC Honors for Kai Tsakiris:
Prior to the start of the Southeastern Conference Tournament, the league revealed Thursday the annual soccer awards. Florida's leader in goals, assist and points, Kai Tsakiris, earned 2025 All-Southeastern Conference and SEC All-Freshman honors.
Tsakiris is one of only four freshmen across the conference to earn All-SEC recognition, landing a spot on the All-SEC Third Team. She joins fellow first-year honorees Vailana Tu'ua of Arkansas, Ava McDonald of Texas (Second Team) and Sariyah Bailey of LSU (Third Team).
Just prior to the beginning of her collegiate career in August, Tsakiris was named the ECNL U18/19 National Player of the Year.
Young Gators:
Florida's underclassmen have played a big role this season.
In the regular-season finale, Florida was the only Southeastern Conference team to feature double-digit underclassmen in its starting lineup — six sophomores and four freshmen. Mississippi, Missouri and Texas were next closest with seven freshman or sophomore starters.
Florida is the only SEC school whose top goal scorers are all freshmen. The Gators' scoring leaders include:

Florida posted its third consecutive tie (1-1) when Kentucky visited the Donald R. Dizney Stadium on Oct. 2.
It was the Gators third straight tie versus a team recognized in the United Soccer Coaches poll as Kentucky was receiving votes in the final poll of September. Florida and then No. 15 South Carolina played to a 0-0 tie on Sept. 21, followed by a 2-2 tie on Sept. 26 at then No. 17 Georgia.
Florida struck first in the 18th minute. From the middle of the field, Kai Tsakiris found Megan Hinnenkamp wide above the box. Hinnenkamp settled the ball and then headed end line. Her centering pass found the head of Addy Hess, who just beat her defender at the far post.
The Wildcats tied the match in the 55th minute when Thalia Morisi headed the ball down in front of the goal line, which bounced into the goal.
