
Gators Wrap Up 2025 Season at NCAA Cross Country Championships

The Gators secured a fifth-place finish, tying the best mark in program history.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Florida Cross Country team capped off the 2025 season at the NCAA Cross Country Championship on Saturday, Nov. 22 in Columbia, Mo. The No. 3 women walked away with a fifth place team finish, as Kelvin Cheruiyot concluded with a 14th place individual finish. Four Gators took home All-America Honors for their placement in the top-40.
WOMEN
Florida opened the day with the women's 6k, where Hilda Olemomoi led the Gators with a third-place finish, her second straight at the NCAA Cross Country Championships following her 2024 result. She was joined in the top 25 by teammates Judy Chepkoech (16) and Tia Wilson (22), giving the Gators a powerful trio up front to each earn All-America Honors. Beth Morley (87) and Reagan Gilmore (145) closed out the scoring five for the Orange and Blue, securing 225 total points. The effort matched the program's best NCAA finish of fifth place, which was first achieved in 2023.
KELVIN CHERUIYOT
Cheruiyot concluded his debut collegiate season with an individual performance in the men's 10k, placing 14th overall to secure All-America Honors. After sitting in 40th at the 4k split, Cheruiyot surged through the field, climbing 22 spots to reach 18th by 5k before ultimately securing 14th at the finish. His strong close capped one of the most impressive freshman campaigns in Gators cross country history.
