Erin Engel Honored in Fall Commencement Ceremony

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Former Florida volleyball setter Erin Engel officially became one of UF's newest alumni on Saturday, earning her master's degree in Construction Management during the University of Florida's commencement ceremony at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native returned to her home state as a graduate transfer for the Gators in the 2024 season. She made her Orange and Blue debut on Sept. 8, 2024, against Ohio State and delivered an ace on her very first serve attempt. Engel went on to appear in six matches during the season and earned SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll recognition for her efforts in the classroom.
Engel is one of four Florida student-athletes to complete their master's degrees this fall and one of 38 current and former Gators being honored during UF's fall commencement ceremonies.
